Bareboat Insurance - Oceanic Marine Risks

LIMIT OF LIABILITY IS A$5,000,000

This policy is designed to protect you from claims made against you by Third Parties as a result of your negligence in the operation or use of a hired vessel, the named Bareboat or its substitute) or its tender, for your charter period. It provides insurance against your legal liability to pay claims for Loss or Damage to Third Party Property, or the Accidental Death, Bodily Injury or Illness of a Third Party.

This policy does NOT provide cover for the insured (you and the people onboard the hire vessel) for personal injury to each other or property damage to your own property or damage to the vessel or tender that you have chartered.. This policy IS NOT a travel insurance policy ( travel insurance policies cover cancellation, emergency accommodation, illness, flights, luggage, own property, excesses, bonds etc)

For this policy to respond to claims made against you, you, the hired vessel (the named Bareboat or its substitute) or its tender must be involved in the loss.

Before we can proceed with this application form for insurance, you are required to acknowledge that you have read the Oceanic Marine Risks Financial Services Guide, Term of Engagement and Bareboat Hirers policy.

This policy can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to start date of charter, however if cancelled only 80% of premium will be refunded.
